Stock Out on Some Models
A huge rush on some of the most popular models has left us and Redcat with product shortages. More vehicles will be coming in February and there is talk of new models this spring! The Rockslide 1/8 scale Crawler has sold out everywhere with more entering the country around February 20th. - 1.12.2009

Testing on the NEW 1/8 Scale Rock Crawler!
I just received the new Crawler from Red Cat and WOW! This thing is big - REALLY BIG - and we have been having a blast crawling everything from stairs to boulders. The pictures don't hardly do justice to just how large of a crawler this thing is. The tire diameter is 7" and from tire to tire it is 27". Very strong steering servos and the 4 wheel steering with four seperate steering types is pretty cool. If you are into rock crawling and just climbing difficult terain this is the ticket and it's only $259.95 ready to run battery and all. That's less than the cost of a smaller Axial kit that doesn't even have electronics. - 12.3.2008
Gateway Mall Show
So we were up at the Gateway Mall this past weekend and it was a lot of fun. Not only did I get to practice my drifting action on the granite tile, but I met a lot of cool people. Thanks a bunch if you stopped by and listened to me jabber on. If you have any other questions feel free to contact us. We are still tossing around the idea of doing another show in a week or so. - 12.1.2008

Redcat 1/5 Scale Monster Truck
So... it's big... Really really large. Pushing 40lbs and 2.8 horsepower from a 23cc 2 cycle motor, it's like a chainsaw on wheels. The Rampage platform is tough, we have been trying to break stuff and so far the only damage is a crack on the body from landing upside down from 8' up. I think the buggy platform could handle the upside down landings a little better since the body is more closely contoured to the roll cage. I drilled a couple of holes in some round metal plates to dispurse some of the impact around the body posts and that seems to be working well. This truck was very easy to set up and it came with everything including a 2000Mah hump pack battery for the servos. Very little adjusting needed on the carb, in fact it started right up. The truck that I ordered for testing didn't come with a transmitter or radio, but I do have them on hand. If you want the biggest truck on the block they don't get any bigger than this. I launched it off of an 8' pile of wood chips and when it landed on the asphault it didn't even scrape the chassis. Totally worth $789.95 and that's about half of what the new HPI 1/5 scale desert truck costs. - 11.20.2008
